Many of us dread getting together with our families over the holidays. Numerous recent surveys report that over 40% of respondents experience open conflict during family holiday gatherings. The top five topics most likely to trigger holiday conflicts are: politics (34%), past family grievances (32%), relationships (25%), finances (25%), and parenting (17%). Politics is expected to remain a primary driver of family tensions this year.

This skill building workshop will provide education, skill building, strategies and support to aid participants in navigating conflict, during family holiday gatherings.

PPLI Skill Buildings are experiential and participative without pressuring participants to participate outwardly.

Goals for our time together:

Using the experience, wisdom and brilliance of participants we will work together to:

  • Foster a feeling of comfort and curiosity.

  • Increase participants' comfort around conflict.

  • Grow participants' positive communication skills.

  • Problem solve specific dynamics and scenarios.

  • Grow participants’ resiliency skills.

  • Develop a personalized plan to help participants increase their comfort in the midst of holiday family gatherings.
